Fest 1999

March 6, 1999

Dear Surfers --

On behalf of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, We would like to thank all of the hardy souls who made Manhattan Irish Fest '99 possible !!!

Our sponsors, workers volunteers and patrons have made this event the kickoff celebration for the entire Chicago Area.

The 1999 Manhattan Irish Fest may go down in history as the year of the snowstorm. In our minds, the fifth annual Irish Fest will be remembered as an extraordinary day when our community drew together to meet the challenge of the weather. Six inches of snow did not deter many, many hardy souls from enjoying some great entertainment. The "luck" of our Irish Fest was that there were hard-working volunteers who pitched in at the last minute to bring success to the event.
